Linda is a business communications professional who has been working with executives to refine their message and develop compelling professional documents for more than 15 years. She is recognized for a clear, concise, analytically driven writing style and the ability to ask the right questions to uncover her clients’ key achievements and value proposition.
Following a 10-year career as a securities analyst in both buy- and sell-side roles, and positions with leading public relations firms, she founded Merrill Financial Communications, providing investor relations and corporate communications consulting to publicly traded companies.
Linda has an undergraduate degree in Economics and earned a Master of Management degree, with concentrations in finance and accounting, from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Dorothy (Dodie) B. Hofstetter, Partner
Dodie is a creative communications professional and precise editor who assists executives in composing and preparing documents to help them transition into new corporate and Board endeavors. She brings more than three decades of experience as an editor at the Chicago Tribune, including many years on its Editorial Board, and expertise in print and digital media. She is respected for her attention to detail and her ability to present complex information in a clear, organized manner.
Throughout her time at the Tribune, Dodie also taught journalism, communications and business communications at the university level in courses that included opinion writing, feature writing, news reporting, news editing, interviewing, public speaking, critical thinking, ethics and other special journalism topics. She has taught at Northwestern University, Columbia College Chicago and continues to teach at Loyola University Chicago.
